Culturunners @ The Armory Show, NY

January 01, 2015 in 2015

CULTURUNNERS is an artistic expedition in search of connections across borders. CULTURUNNERS at the Armory Show took place in front of the Armory Show’s entrance, where visitors could enter the RV to engage in personal conversations with the artists, see their projects, and participate in happenings. The project attracted diverse audiences, ranging from international artists, curators, critics, students, and tourists to the Saudi Ambassador to the United Nations and the Commissioner of New York City’s Department of Cultural Affairs. This station of the expedition featured a series of projects developed by MIT graduate and undergraduate students, alumni, and staff. Several expeditions were organized throughout New York City, taking visitors on a tour through several former sites of Little Syria and Little Egypt in Manhattan.
